I have found a cheat code to make money on YouTube from day one of starting your channel. This means you can start the channel now and tomorrow be making money, which normally doesn’t work because, in case you don’t know, your channel needs 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time in order to apply for the YouTube Partner program. I don’t want you guys to wait for that, so I will show you the smart way of making money on YouTube. The funny part is that most people have never even thought about this. We’re going to be using something that I like to call the HPCP strateg
What is the HPCP Strategy?
If I were to upload a normal video on a brand new channel right now, I would not be able to make money from it since the channel is not monetized. However, if I were to upload a video on that exact same brand new channel but used what I like to call the HPCP strategy, I could make money from it tomorrow, the day after that, and basically months or even years down the line. And that’s what it does for me here. This is the result of an HPCP video. You can see I’ve got six pages of commissions of $250 coming in almost every single day.
What Does HPCP Stand For?
HPCP stands for High Payout Commission Products. That might sound confusing, but to put it simply, an HPCP is any sort of product that you can promote and for every sale you get, you receive a high payout commission. The reason I recommend this should be a high payout commission is because I’ve tested this format that I’m about to share with you myself for months.
The Mistake I Made: Low Payout Commissions
Here’s the issue that I ran into. I’ve been promoting this product with a very low payout. My thought process was that I can do lots of volume and make great money. Now, volume-wise I was correct. As you can see, I’ve got about 1,400 clicks on my affiliate link, and I have a 62% conversion rate, which is really high, and that led to more than 800 commissions. However, the issue with this is that I only make between $2 and $4 per commission. This means I have made $22,900 from promoting this product, which is all right, but just imagine if this was an HPCP and per sale I would make $50. That could have been over $40,000.
Why HPCPs Are Better
Trust me, HPCPs are where the money is at. I know because I’m currently making more than $30,000 per month from videos that use this format. That is not ad revenue; that is external monetization.
Step-by-Step Guide: Creating a Successful HPCP Channel
Step 1: Choosing Your Niche
There are a lot of obvious niches that you can go into. I will put a few of them on the screen right now: health, wealth, relationships, travel, and technology. However, these are very broad. I recommend niching down a lot, especially when promoting products. There are a lot of uncommon and unknown industries that pay a lot of money for a commission. Here’s a quick list of high-paying industries which we’ll need later on in step number two. Feel free to take a screenshot.
Step 2: Finding Products to Promote
Preferably, the product you promote is a digital product. The reason for this is that commissions on digital products are usually higher because the companies don’t have to cover shipping fees, warehouse costs, and all of that good stuff. I recommend the product you promote will get you at least a $250 commission. This way, let’s say your videos have a 2% click conversion rate. So, that means the amount of people that click on the link of the product after watching your video, and then from those clicks, you have a 20% conversion rate, meaning 20% of those people will actually purchase the product. In that scenario, you would make $1,000 in commissions from just 1,000 views.
Example: How I Made $6,000 with HPCPs
These are fictional numbers, but trust me, they’re far from impossible. I just showed you my 60% conversion rate on a cheaper product. I actually had an HPCP like this last year in June. This is the channel that I used for it. At the time, it was completely brand new. You can see it only has six videos, and all of the videos uploaded here led to this product right here. With this product, I have made over $6,000 in total just from these simple videos that only have a couple thousand views each.
Where to Find Products to Promote
You can find them on platforms like Digistore24, ClickBank, Impact, Partner Stack, or individual affiliate programs from the companies themselves. Usually, you can just go to the website, scroll down, and you’ll see a button that says “Affiliate Program” if they have one available, and apply from there.
Step 3: Finding Video Ideas and Making Content
To get commissions with your HPCPs, you need to get views on your video, and to get views on your video, you need good video ideas and well-put-together content. That’s where most people go wrong. The biggest mistake you can make is recording your video and then deciding your video keywords at the moment of uploading. Instead, you want to research keywords to analyze if you can rank number one and then make your video.
How to Find the Best Keywords to Rank for
Here’s what a 10-out-of-10 keyword looks like, which will ensure you rank number one on YouTube:
- Low Competition: There shouldn’t be big channels ranking everywhere for the keyword you found.
- Good Search Volume: You don’t want to rank for a keyword that no one searches for.
- No Matching Keyword: This is the key to ranking number one quickly, even with a small channel. I use this strategy to grow channels like this, this, and recently this one.
How I Use VidIQ to Find Keywords
I use a YouTube research tool called VidIQ, which is trusted by the biggest YouTubers in the game. On VidIQ, I go to the keyword section where you can search for any keyword you like. Then, I always start by searching for the product that I’m looking to promote. As an example, I’ll search for “MPY,” which is a parental control app that pays out high commissions. I’ll get all these scores that show up on the screen. I recommend you ignore these, as I don’t really trust this stuff. Instead, you want to click on “matching terms.”
Analyzing Competition and Views Per Hour
You can now see an entire list of keywords related to my product. You want to scroll through and find something that looks interesting. For example, “MPY review,” which shows up as the second result with about 9,000 searches per month. From there, I click on the term and analyze the competition.
Step 4: Video SEO and Ranking Your Video
Once you’ve checked the competition, it’s time to optimize your video SEO. Make sure to include the exact keyword you want to rank for in your title. The first part of the title should be to make sure you rank for the search phrase, and the second part should make it clickable and give the viewer the insight that they will learn everything they need to know about the product.
Additional Tips for Success
- Choose Good Products: The better the product you promote, the better it converts.
- Bring Value to Your Viewers: Operate from a perspective to bring the viewer the most value possible.
- Mention Downsides: A product review video doesn’t have to be all positive.
- Pay Attention to Feedback: Check feedback in comments and implement it in your own video.
- Be Patient: It can take time to build up, so don’t expect to go viral right away.
